Our approach

StemSwell is private by default. We built it so you can process audio without handing it to a service that mines it. We collect the minimum needed to run the product, delete your audio on a short schedule, and never train on it.

What we store

  • Account data: your email and authentication identity, your plan and role, your credit balances and ledger, and (if you subscribe) a Stripe customer reference.
  • Audio you upload and the results tools produce from it.
  • Job metadata: which tool ran, its parameters, and objective metrics (loudness, duration, etc.) shown on the result card.

Data lifecycle & retention

  • Uploads are transient, deleted automatically within 48 hours of processing, on every plan.
  • Free-tier results are ephemeral: stored under an auto-delete prefix and removed within 48 hours. Download what you need promptly.
  • Paid-plan results are retained up to your plan’s storage quota (Plus: 5 GB, Pro: 50 GB) until you delete them or exceed the quota.
  • Signed download links are short-lived and count-limited to control who can fetch your results.

We do not train on your audio

Your uploads and results are used only to produce the output you requested. We do not use them to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any model, and we do not sell or share your audio with third parties for their own purposes.

Processing & sub-processors

Audio is processed on GPU/CPU workers solely to run the tool you chose. We rely on infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, and GPU compute) and on Stripe for payments. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from your account page at any time. Deletion:

  • cancels any active subscription (billing stops immediately);
  • removes all of your Firestore data: user record, credit ledger, usage counters, and every job;
  • removes all of your stored objects: uploads, results, and ephemeral outputs;
  • deletes your sign-in account.

Deletion is irreversible and forfeits any remaining credits. Stripe retains its own billing records as required for tax and legal compliance.
